Machine Gun Kelly (better known as Colson ‘MGK‘ Baker in the acting world) has joined the cast of the forthcoming film Nerve alongside Dave Franco and Emma Roberts. Catfish‘s Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman will serve as directors, while Allison Shearmur (Cinderella, The Hunger Games) has signed on to produce.

This is the fourth feature film for Kells, who last year made his acting debut in Beyond The Lights, and has two more in the can set to arrive later this year – a horror film and the sequel to cult classic SLC Punk – SLC Punk 2: Punk’s Dead. The rapper/actor also is awaiting word from Showtime on a pick-up of their Cameron Crowe/JJ Abrams pilot, Roadies.

On the music side, Kells just released the lead single to his forthcoming sophomore album, which is tentatively set for a July release via Interscope Records. Looks like the wild boy is going to have a wild year!
