Kendrick Lamar will be in the Superdome in New Orleans on July 5. It will be the Compton rapper’s debut appearance at the popular Essence Festival, so I’m sure attendees will get a helluva show.

The Essence Festival is back and there are 40+ acts to prove it. The four-day event will begin Thursday, July 2 with the What Now? Tour, starring Kevin Hart, while over the course of the following three days Beenie Man and the Zagga Zow Band, Usher, Missy Elliott (a first-timer), Erykah Badu, Common, Charlie Wilson and many many more will hit the famous stage.
From the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Nephew Tommy will hit the Mainstage as host along with Doug E. Fresh and his unique talents.
