Everyone knows that Nick Young is a jokester and it’s his vibrant personality that has kept the Lakers in the headlines despite having the worst year in the franchise’s history. While Young’s jokes are great, we can’t say the same about his shooting. Luckily for us, he has a joke about that too.
When asked about his bad shooting, Young replied, “I blame it on the rim. The rim was tripping this year. I’ll take her on a date & treat her better.”
Young a shoot-first gunner, was never really an efficient shooter but his numbers took an even bigger dive this year. He’s a career 42.3 percent shooter but fell to a lowly 36.6 percent this season.
Young is owed a very affordable $16.4 million over the next three seasons (player option in the final season), which is good if the Lakers plan on keeping him or good trade bait if they decide to shop him around which is what they will reportedly do this summer.
