Nas owes Uncle Sam some green.

There are three things I don’t play with and that is the I.R.S., however, when it comes down to these celebrities, they seem to not understand the term, TAXES. If they took L-Boogie down, you know they will come for anyone. This go ’round, Nas is on Uncle Sam’s BOO BOO list for the amount of $276,000. Good lawd, that’s a lot of money.

In 2006, the Illmatic emcee decided to not pay $276,439.80 in state taxes, so in 2009, the Georgia Department of Revenue hit him with a lien to collect some assets. Since his lack of payment in ’06 and the threat of seizing assets in ’09 did not scare him, Georgia is working on their second attempt.

April 3rd of this year, Georgia re-filed the lien, but the difference is they conducted an investigation of any assets or property belonging to the great one. They didn’t find anything. I guess if you don’t have anything for Uncle Sam to take, there’s no worries. But wait … there is the ‘freedom’ part.

Hmm, when was Nas in Georgia to accumulate such a bill? Ehh…
