Michael Sam didn’t make it on the football field and now he got the axe from the dance floor as well.

The first openly gay man to be drafted into the NFL found himself on the wrong end of the chopping block on “Dancing with the Stars” Monday night after his final rumba didn’t cut it with the judges.

Sam became the 3rd contestant eliminated from the show following Charlotte McKinney and Redfoo.

Now Sam is faced with the decision of trying to return to the NFL, or continue to find other reality show type ventures.  Sam has always maintained that football is most important to him; if he really means that then he would at least try to make it in the CFL before giving the NFL another crack.
