UPDATE:
AMY, the Amy Winehouse documentary is scheduled to hit theaters everywhere on July 10. However, speacial places such as the United Kingdom, New York and Los Angeles will have the opportunity to see the film one week prior. The world premiere can be seen at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16.

Its been four years since Amy Winehouse passed away due to a drug overdose. With the anniversary of her passing coming up this summer, A24 Films has decided that it is the right time to release the Winehouse documentary titled, AMY. The “Rehab” songstress suffered from a drug addiction after her rise of fame that she thought she would never attain.

The teaser shows footage of a young Amy as well as an older version of herself with audio recordings of interviews playing in the background. The English artist opened up about writing things that were personal to herself and being famous. Clearly and early in career interview.
