Chris Paul was having a rough week and took it all out on the Portland Trail Blazers Wednesday night. After Shaq told him he would never win a ring and Stephen Curry dropped him, making him the butt of many jokes and memes, Paul dropped 41 points and 17 assists in the Clippers 126-122 win over the Trail Blazers and was ready to take out Chris Kaman after a big shove to the ground.
While fighting for a rebound Chris Paul inadvertently pushed Chris Kaman in the groin area. Kaman then frustrated, shoves Chris Paul to the ground. Paul got up angry and rolled up behind Kaman who was walking away. A squirmish then ensued with Glen Davis rolling up on Kaman as well. LaMarcus Aldridge tried to stop Davis and “Big Baby” (a very fitting name in this case) flopped hard, dropping himself to the ground as if Aldridge struck him.
Kaman received a flagrant one foul. The refs had a good no call on Aldridge as Davis was clearly exaggerating.
“CP already had it going before that to be honest, but that just brought more energy into the game,” coach Doc Rivers said. It helped fuel the Clippers comeback and 12 of CP3’s 41 points came in the fourth quarter.
