To Pimp A Butterfly

Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly landed on iTunes a week earlier than scheduled, reportedly as a mistake…though some believe it was all planned from the start. Either way, it doesn’t seem to have had too much of a negative effect on the TDE rapper, as his first week sales projections are looking pretty damn good! (And as previously reported, he broke a global streaming record as well.)

Early projections say that the album is on course to sell an estimated 350-375k copies in its first week, with the number having the potential to DRASTICALLY increase as the physical copies begin to hit shelves. To compare, K.dot’s debut album good kid, m.A.A.d city sold 242k in its first week, so he’s already in a great position.
