It’s been 10 years since The Game released The Documentary. Now, with another anniversary rolling around, the California native announces The Documentary 2 release date, and why he decided to wait so long. “I feel like I could’ve released it after the Documentary 1, but … things just happen for a reason,” he says in an interview with Revolt TV during The Documentary’s 10-Year Anniversary Party. “10-Years later seemed perfectly fine.
The Game, who has released “Ambitionz Of A Rida” featuring Def Loaf and “The Soundtrack” featuring Meek Mill from the project, also details his specific reasoning for dropping The Documentary 2 on a specific day. Find out why down bottom.

Initially, The Game announced that The Documentary 2 was to drop January 18, but that obviously got pushed back. June 30 is when to expect the release of the rapper’s sixth album. “June 30th is my son’s [Harlem] birthday,” The Game says. “I think it’s big, and his birthday falls on a Tuesday, which is the day that music is released to the world. ION, it’s kind of perfect timing.”
Besides working with Def Loaf and Meek Mill, The Game has been seen in the studio with Faith Evans. The R&B has also been working on something, so if Game will be returning the collaboration favor, we don’t know, but out fingers will be crossed.
