Whether it’s threatening reporters or discussing his fear of dolphins, Nick Young makes sure he keeps himself and the Lakers in the headlines despite this dismal season. At this point I’m not sure what’s sadder, that this is an actual story or that Young is actually rocking this hair style and thought it was cool.
In any event… Young made an appearance during the Lakers practice on Wednesday. He’s out with a small fracture in his right knee but made it to practice to get some treatment, sign some autographs and debut his new hairstyle.
“I felt like it was time for a change,” Young said. “I was watching Kid ‘n’ Play at home and then I started watching Booty Call and I said Jamie Foxx has a nice hairstyle I want to try so that’s the inspiration behind it.”
Scott wasn’t a fan of the hairdo, saying it looked like Young lost a bet.
“It looked like a bunch of worms up there just running around,” Scott said. “When I first saw him I started cracking up, laughing.”
Young laughed when he was relayed Scott’s thoughts on his hair.
“People with no hair wouldn’t understand,” Young said. “When you have the ability to try things with your hair but when it’s over with you tend to turn into a hater on people that got hair. I would be mad at someone with hair if I didn’t have hair.”
