Fox’s Empire is quickly taking over television by being one of the most talked-about shows. Now the series will get even better as the shows co-creator Lee Daniels, who is 55, is planning to add two new additions to the show’s second season. Daniels revealed that he’s been working very hard on trying to convince his ‘Lee Daniels’ The Butler’ collaborator Oprah Winfrey to be on the show. He says, “I’m wearing her down!” Winfrey herself added, “I tell him, ‘Lee, it’s not enough that you’ve taken every viewer possible on Wednesday night. Now you want me to leave my own network?”
While a deal hasn’t been solidified yet, Daniels has huge plans for Winfrey, 61, for the show. He said just days later to Access Hollywood that Winfrey will indeed appear on Empire. “Yes. Yeah. She’s gonna be on it.” He also revealed that he’s writing a role for rapper Common, who won an Oscar with John Legend for their Selma song “Glory.” Empire has been a hit with critics and viewers which features Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Jussie Smollett, Trai Byers, Kaitlin Doubleday and more.
