Yup…it’s official! Mobb Deep Planning On Album Produced Entirely by Alchemist and according the the Huffington Post, Prodigy confirms the so far released details. Mobb Deep Planning On Album Produced Entirely by Alchemist and XXL reports he sounds in pretty good spirits about the project, saying:
Though very few details are available right now, Prodigy was enthusiastic and emphatic in saying the record is “coming out dope.”
Well this is definitely a years in the making, just-due reunion on wax. Prodigy, Havoc and Alchemist have in the past indented the rap game with “Murda Muzik,” “Infamy” a string of hits and not to mention the Queensbridge “dun language” approach set forth by the mighty Mobb, once upon a time in legendary Hip Hop history. The Alchemist has a large footprint on the game with a production catalog that includes Jadakiss, Styles P, Capone-N-Noreaga, (Fat) Joe, Big Pun, Guru, Pharaohe Monch, Royce da 5’9, Cypress Hill, 50 Cent and Big Daddy Kane among many more (damn!):
“Despite hailing from the West coast, Alchemist has become a go-to producer for New York veterans and newcomers alike. He produced Rare Chandeliers for Action Bronson in 2012 and is also rumored to be working on a full-length record with Roc Marciano. He has an extensive working history with Prodigy; their first record together was 2007′s Return Of The Mac…The infamous Mobb’s last album was 2014′s The Infamous Mobb Deep.”
Most recently the trio released “Biology” in October 2014, as well as the “In Heavens Home” track with Prodigy and Roc Marciano and Prodigy’s Albert Einstein EP earlier last year. Alchemist has also been busy working with Action Bronson and hanging with him for B-Real’s Smokebox series, aside from mobbing with other artists on the current scene.
