Federal Judge Shot During Robbery

When the feds weren’t watching: The streets ain’t always safe out here and apparently not even for one of the nation’s most powerful authorities as a Federal Judge Shot in Robbery Attempt is hospitalized, condition so far unknown.

Terrence Berg, the Federal Judge Shot in Robbery Attempt was an Obama appointed judge (don’t let that sway you one way or the other). According to the Detroit Free Press, Judge Berg was shot in the leg following a struggle during a home invasion:

“Police said two male suspects around age 18 to 20 apparently approached the victim around 9:10 p.m. as he was outside his home on the 18900 block of Oak Drive. They tried to force him into his house. He refused, a struggle ensued, and the suspect fired one shot, hitting him in the leg.”

Sources say the Federal Judge Shot in Robbery Attempt ‘appeared’ to sustain injuries that are non-life threatening but there’s still no word on his health. The FBI is already on the case (yikes):

“Assistant Police Chief Steve Dolunt confirmed the shooting and said the FBI will handle the case with help from Detroit Police.”

The Federal Judge Shot in Robbery Attempt was brought into the judiciary by Obama in 2012 and before that was a “federal prosecutor for the U.S. Attorneys office in Detroit for more than 20 years.” He “handled a wide variety of federal criminal prosecutions, specializing in complex fraud cases and computer, Internet and intellectual property crimes.” He also served for the Professional Misconduct Review Unit, which recommends discipline for prosecutors who have engaged in misconduct. He is married with 3 children.

The question on most minds is…was this an intentional hit on his life, or did the robbers have to scrap plan-A and ended up at the wrong house???

Details still developing.
