Kevin Gates doesn’t get tired because he has an overpowering sensitive side that is filled with rainbows, butterflies and unicorns. Maybe not. KG isn’t full of all things mythological, but he does have a sensitive side that is usually drawn out between the lines of music.

When you think booty-eating, relations with a close relative and s**t like that, you don’t really think of a sensitive side. During a chat with The FADAR, the lifestyle magazine gets KG to talk about emotionally driven things in life; family, his master’s degree in psychology and masculinity. “I don’t know what’s wrong with society,” he says. “You have to be tough all the time. My daughter, when she’s screaming in the middle of the night because she had a bad dream—I’m supposed to run in and be tough?” Hmm, great perspective. “I gotta be honest with myself first—if I’m not, I’d probably be a ticking time bomb.” If that doesn’t convince you that Kevin has a sensitive side, I’ll say this, he has a love for The Notebook.
