After catching quite the backlash for punching a female fan in the face while on stage earlier this month, Afroman has decided to call it quits on music. (For his part, he says he didn’t know whether the fan was male or female, he was simply reacting to someone being on stage where they shouldn’t be.)
Taking to his Facebook page, the “Because I Got High” singer announced his retirement from performing earlier today, though he says he will still make music and videos. He also apologizes to not only the woman that he’d hit (which he says was a slap, not a “devastating punch” as reported by TMZ,) as well as a man he apparently hit last year. Afroman plays no games, b!
