We knew of the Cash Money vs Cash Money lawsuits – e.g., Lil Wayne and then following, Turk – but now, there’s another lawsuit against the record label that comes to light. In the suit, REO claims that he was beat for $91,841 after working on Weezy’s “Mirror“, which appears on Tha Carter IV. The producer was to gain a percentage of the album’s two million plus sells. Cash Money sent him a statement saying he was owed the money, but never got the money.
According to The Jasmine Brand, REO, who came highly prepared for battle, was granted his almost $100K after the money men from the label neglected to respond to the suit back in December. In addition, the music man will gain nine percent interest per annum – this is after the label hands over all accounting documents. Hell, this may show more than what was owed to a producer. Tsk Tsk … Cash Money is being withheld from everybody.
