The young boy named Luke Ruehlman said that his name was Pam and he was a woman in his past life. The woman who Luke, from Ohio, is referring to is said to be reincarnated inside him. More than 20 years ago, the woman died in a horrific hotel fire in Chicago. Luke is convinced that he was once called Pam and that he died in a previous life after leaping from a burning building. His mom Erica said that he started talking about the woman who they do not know personally, when he was only 2 years old. She had no clue where Luke got the name Pam from because the Cincinnati family didn’t know anyone named Pam. When she asked him more questions he revealed that he used to be called Pam and he described her as a girl with black hair. His mother told Fox 8, “He was like, ‘Well I used to be, but I died and went to heaven and I saw God and eventually God pushed me back down. When I woke up I was a baby and you named me Luke.” She was shocked by his answer so she asked him more questions about how she died. She went on to say, “He looked right at me and said, ‘Yea it was fire.’ And at that point he made like a motion with his hand like he was jumping off a building.”
He claims that Pam lost her life in “a tall building” and had previously “traveled on the train in Chicago.” Ruehlman said her family never visited Chicago, and she didn’t remember even mentioning it to Luke. She started to do some Internet digging, and saw that a blaze at Chicago’s Paxton Hotel took the lives of 19 people in 1993, and one of the victims was a black woman in her 30s named Pamela Robinson. The family made an appearance on the Lifetime Movie Network on the show “Ghost Inside My Child.” On the show Luke immediately picked out Pam’s picture. The Ruehlman family contacted Pam’s daughter, and discovered that Luke and her late mother also enjoyed the same genre of music. After Luke told the story about Pam he never spoke about her again. His mother says to Fox 2 Now, “It was like he got it out. He was finished and had nothing more to say about it.”
