This year’s NBA trade deadline is turning out to be an exciting one. Next up on the trading block is Denver Nuggets’ JaVale McGee who has been traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Denver Nuggets have agreed to send JaVale McGee, along with a first-round pick, to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, a league source told Yahoo Sports.
The Sixers will receive a 2015 protected first-round pick that Denver owned via Oklahoma City.
In Denver’s two deals today, it has created $18 million in player-trade exceptions.
Denver is unloading the balance of $11,250,000 for this season and $12 million for 2015-16 on McGee’s contract.
McGee, in his seventh NBA season, was averaging 5.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11 minutes per game for Denver.
