In just 3 days (as Billboard closes out its tally each week on Sunday nights and Drake dropped late Thursday night,) Drake managed to move 495k hard copies of his “mixtape,” If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late, as well as break a Spotify record with more than 17.3 million first-week streams. The project will undoubtedly go gold by next week’s charts (if not already,) and with Billboard’s new SPS (sales plus streaming) methodology, it’s actually already at 535k. No word whether this will ever be available other than digitally, but Drizzy’s official studio album, Views From the 6, is due out later this year.
