This tactic doesn’t work with any artist but Drake has enough pull, 500K worth. That’s his projected sells from the 1st week alone! There has been some buzz that he would drop a tape before his official album, Views From Tha 6, but nobody knew for sure if they were going to hear brand new songs. Drake made the right decision by keeping it as a word of mouth project and having his fans buy the album without exactly knowing what they were getting.
