“In the Azealia Banks story,” as she would put it … Messy! The very disputed female has found herself in the middle of another, yes another topic of race. After posting to Instagram her painted white face, viewers go wild with the comments.

“#WhiteFace [sic],” Banks captions the above picture. Taking on the form of a ‘white person’, caused a few people to really feel some type of way. When she caught wind of the negative comments spewing her way, Banks did what she’s known to do; talk s**t. However, the s**t talking was to tell everyone to be the hell quiet, because she was not attempting to make a racial statement – this time – with the picture. The white face was the prepping stages of her becoming the Ice Princess. You see, Banks was gearing up for a visual that she will soon release for her single, the “Ice Princess“. Besides that, the “212” raptress tries to justify the picture with the story of a stunt pulled by Snoop Dogg. “And sidebar.. When snoop did whiteface YALL all thought that shit was hilarious and funny right? #MISOGYNOIR at its finest!!” Okay, so if Snoop jumped of a roof…
Banks then goes into using the term misogynoir, which she uses Wikipedia to reference:
Misogynoir: A portmanteau term coined by queer black feminist scholar Moya Bailey. Misogynoir refers to anti-black misogyny, where race and gender together are factors in the hatred of black women. Bailey created the term to address misogyny directed toward black women in American visual and popular culture.
Following her rant about the white face clear-up was one on, “the gay white media being [sic] so evil, ugly and delusional.” She adds, “gay media has to stop using homophobia as a means to try and victimize itself and scar the names of its opponents.” I can’t! Just messy. How many of her fans are white; gay; the media?
Sidebar: You want to like the girl because she seems like she could be very intelligent, but she makes it really difficult. I mean damn, she talks about rap being ‘stolen’ from the man, but she’s known for beefing more than her music. Name an Azealia Banks song without Google. Hard? name an Azealia Banks beef. Simple?
