Today the Oklahoma City Thunder signed Nick Collison to a two-year, $8 million contract extension. Many people were confused by the amount of the extension considering Collison is declining and at 34-years old he’s averaging 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 16.0 minutes per game this season. The thing is Collison has been with the team since it moved from Seattle and is very important to the franchise so Thunder star Kevin Durant took exception to an NBA reporter who criticized the move.
Chris Palmer used to work for ESPN although not many of us knew what he actually did besides report rumors that never happened and spew Kobe Bryant stats. In any event, he was eventually fired.
Today upon learning about Nick Collison’s extension, he said moves like that are why the Thunder won’t make the playoffs. Kevin Durant fired back and it was hilarious.

Sidenote: Palmer and Durant had an incident before when Palmer said Durant was the 15th smartest player in the NBA and Durant said Palmer pops Molly’s. Goodtimes, goodtimes…
