The Chicago Bulls took on the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night at the Oracle Arena for one of the most exciting games of the season. The Oracle is no easy place to beat the Warriors with their deafening, supportive fans and the Warriors proved that winning 19-straight home games. But all that ended last night as the Bulls won 113-111 in overtime with the help of Chicago’s star player, Derrick Rose who hit the game-winner.
Derrick Rose hit a step-back jumper with 7 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Bulls the win but the road to get there was quite a struggle. Rose finished with 30 points but shot 13/33 from the field including 4/12 from behind the arc. He also added 7 rebounds, 11 turnovers and just 1 assist in 43 minutes of play. The extensive number of minutes is also the most he’s played in quite some time and could come back to haunt him and his injured knees.
On another positive note for the Bulls, Pau Gasol had a double-double of 18 points and 16 rebounds along with 8 assists and Joakim Noah had a double-double as well with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists.
For the Warriors, Klay Thompson had another big night with 30 points and 10 rebounds while Stephen Curry added 21 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists.
