2012 served as Monica’s New Life, and was also the last time listeners got a full-length album out of R&B veteran. The Atlanta native has been solely dedicated to hanging out with family in recent years, however she has shifted gears back on to the music scene, announcing her eighth studio album Code Red. The singer has been working with heavy hitter producer and songwriter Polow Da Don, and upcoming artist Jo’zzy, whom Polow linked her up with.

While working on this album #CodeRed Polow introduced me to a young lady that could understand me& she wrote from MY heart.. Every story & moment I shared #SheListened & created!! As I record one of our records now I wanna say thank u @@dopebyaccident #LoveU #CodeRedComingSoon #WeBeInAZone LOL
