While many of the Wizards fans in the arena were lobbying for Kevin Durant to join their team, he put on quite a show to only make them want him more. The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Washington Wizards 105-103 in overtime. Russell Westbrook put up an amazing 32 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and the game winning layup. His partner in crime, Durant put up 34 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists as well as the highlight of the night with this soul-taking dunk over Marcin Gortat.
With a little under three minutes remaining in overtime and Washington leading 98-96, Durant slipped a screen and received a pass from Russell Westbrook at the left angle. Gortat rotated over to close out on Durant, but a quick dribble move was enough for Durant to get in the paint. Once there, he took two long strides and crushed a right-handed dunk right on top of the 6-foot-11 Gortat.
Kendrick Perkins led the celebrations on the Thunder’s bench with a lively shimmy.
