Busta Rhymes Writes Letter to Hip Hop for "Coco"

Not quite a “4 Page Letter” but considering people don’t ‘write’ anymore, the net is a buzz from the latest Instagram post of The Conglomerate Entertainment’s HNIC. Not everyone is grateful or makes a point to give back love these days, but the bar’s been raised as Busta Rhymes Writes Thank You Letter To Hip Hop for Supporting “CoCo” and his protege O.T. Genasis.

Busta Rhymes Writes Thank You Letter To Hip Hop for Supporting “CoCo” that seems like a grand gesture in our on demand–look at me–pay me–follow me world. It’s especially fitting the legend recognizes the massive response the song got. Not just in sales, downloads, remixes and parodies in different languages but with the enormous*** wave of Vine clips and social media–everyone has truly been “in love with the CoCo.” (It’s been a little scary actually).

Taking to his Instagram Busta Rhymes Writes Thank You Letter To Hip Hop for Supporting “CoCo” that you can tell is from the heart. Keeping it hood, just some real talk hand-penned over two pieces of paper and taped to a surface. The letter thanks the fans, DJs, clubs, supporters, and talks who’s coming up next as well as the newness of the label. It highlights:

“One thing we pride ourselves on is keeping and fulfilling our promise and that is–we will stay true to the art and continue to make bangers!!! Thank you all genuinely and sincerely for helping us go so we can continue to grow. We salute y’all to the max.”

While some argue the golden era legend co-signing a song and artist who basically created a commercially-viable-hood-infomercial for cocaine dealing in song-form is anything but love for the culture, but many say it’s still all Hip Hop. Busta Rhymes Writes Thank You Letter To Hip Hop for Supporting “CoCo” also proves in a small step that humility still exists if you thought that was dead too–it’s really about the little things.
