Only months after former NBC employee Frank Scotti admitted that in the past, he assisted Bill Cosby in finding and ‘paying off‘ assaulted women does NBC decide to never work with the pudding-pop king again.
During a discussion with the Television Critics Association, NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt explains why they’ve just now made the decision to end all future deals with Cosby, including a sitcom – Cosby was to play the role of a father figure – that was scheduled to release in the fall.

Check out Greenblatt’s statement:
“Fifteen women came out and accused him…While over the years we’d heard some of those accusations and knew there were settlements, it didn’t seem to be the sort of thing that was critical mass. When we realized there seemed to be so much more of it, it wasn’t something where we could go, ‘Oh, we’re not sure.’ He hasn’t been proven guilty of anything. I don’t want to be the one who says, ‘Guilty until proven innocent.’ But when that many people come out and have similar complaints, it causes such a tainted situation there was no way we could move forward with it. The good news is, unlike Netflix which had a special to run, we were developing a script — we didn’t even have a first draft … I’m glad we’re out from under that.”
Amidst his many comedy stops, the latest being Saturday, January 17th at Denver’s Buell Theater, protestors have stood outside to express their disappointment in Cosby and their support of the almost two dozen women who alleges that Cosby assaulted them. Cosby, who ironically spoke with NBC News, says that he’s not going to let the naysayers stop any performance. “What you’ll see tonight is history, you’ll get to see me on stage. I will share this gift that was given to me with the people of Denver tonight,” he said. He better get in all the shows that he can before everyone drops him.
