As we all celebrate the life and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Jan. 19th, MTV is sparking the discussion of race through out their programming in a unique way, tomorrow.
All programs airing on the MTV network on MLK Day, beginning at 9 a.m. ET, will be in black and white. The approach is in efforts to use their platform as a way to
spark conversations discussing racial issues in today’s society. The goal is to invite all viewers, with a focus on ‘millennials’ to join the discussion and have candid and ‘color brave’ conversations on race’.
Several politicians, celebrities, and musical artists will be expressing their personal thoughts on race relations during every commercial break. Those sharing their views include Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar, David Oyelowo, Rep. John Lewis and more. Check out a clip of what you can expect, and make sure you are tuned in!
