Mariah Carey’s Headed To Vegas For Residency. “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas.” This is a motto the Diva Mariah Carey lives by. According to recent reports, if soon to be ex hubby Nick Cannon says anything off the cuff about their marriage he will be slapped with a 250,000 fine. Mariah Carey signed on to do a residency at Caesars Palace starting May 6 running through the July 26th. This stability may be just what the “Beautiful” singer needs. She has been in the press recently because of her failed marriage and her less than stellar performances as of late. Maybe getting up in front of a crowd every night in Vegas will get her groove back. More details below

Residencies may be the new alternative to touring. Britney Spears is currently doing a residency in Vegas at Caesar’s place.The “Piece of Me”singer’s first contract was for 2 years. According to Billboard she was offered another 12 million to extend her stay. The 32 year old pop icon is earning 30 million for her first contract. Mariah’s long time rival Jlo is also considering doing a residency at the same place; nothing is finalized yet but its been reported that an act like jlo could make 350,000 a night and close to 26 million at the end of her contract. According to TMZ “The Boy Next” star made 410,000 for her New years Eve performance at Caesar’s place. Mariah has the body of work to really knock it out of the ball park.
