Bill Cosby’s attorney said in a statement that he was not at the Playboy Mansion on the night he’s being accused of drugging and sexually abusing a model. His attorney Martin Singer said that Cosby was in New York City during the night that model Chloe Goins claims that the comedian drugged and abused her in a bedroom of the mansion. Singer states, “Mr. Cosby was in New York on that date…we will be providing documentary evidence to the appropriate authorities which conclusively establishes Mr. Cosby’s whereabouts on August 9th and for the preceding and succeeding days.” The model, Chloe Goins, says that the incident took place on Aug. 9, 2008, at the Los Angeles mansion during an event called ‘Midsummers Night’s Dream Party. Martin Singer is planning to produce evidence of Cosby’s whereabouts during and after the Playboy Mansion event. Goins met with Los Angeles police detectives and her attorney about the incident. She claims that she woke up and found Cosby on top of her at the ‘Midsummers Night’s Dream Party.’ Even through many of the abuse claims against Cosby fall outside civil and criminal statutes of limitations, Goins’ allegations might fall within a time period in which Cosby could be charged. Goins says she doesn’t know what happened because she was blacked out.

Los Angeles prosecutors will soon make the final determination on whether Cosby will face criminal charges based on Goins’ allegations. She is the second woman to meet with Los Angeles police detectives about accusations against Cosby. Prosecutors did not file charges against Cosby based on allegations by Judy Huth. Huth is a Riverside County resident who is suing the comedian as well. She says that he abused her in the early 1970s when she was only 15 years old. Her lawsuit also states that the abuse happened at the Playboy Mansion. NBC Entertainment Chairman Bob Greenblatt says that the network will no longer work with Cosby on any future projects even though none of the accusations against Cosby have been proven in court. Greenblatt says, “when that many people come out and have such similar complaints, it became a tainted situation.” Over 15 women have accused Cosby of sexual abuse. Although the accusations led to the cancellation of Cosby’s projects with NBC and Netflix, he continues to do stand-up comedy shows.
