It’s about to be the year of the actually awesome biopics!!! But while the NWA story is still undergo for an August release, seems the OG Cube took a page out of Sinatra’s book and “had to do it his way,” previewing the first look at a concert in Australia of all places. Now the Straight Outta Compton Producer Comments on Ice Cube’s Trailer Leak!
Alright c’mon, they was “from the gang called Ni**as With Attitude!” after all. So it’s not too much of a surprise to hear the response to Ice Cube’s vigilante trailer leak of the upcoming NWA movie. The Straight Outta Compton Producer Comments on Ice Cube’s Trailer Leak sound light probably because (it’s Cube) and the leak went viral, getting a great response from the public. Of course, whipping out high demand unreleased content in front of thousands of smartphones overseas–isn’t usually a win.
But the Straight Outta Compton Producer Comments on Ice Cube’s Trailer Leak and you get the feeling Cube’s the same ol’ G. When asked if he knew Cube was going to leak it or if he got any flak for it, producer Will Packer had this to say:
“You know, Cube does what he does. Cube, Cube does what he does and nobody does it like Cube. That’s what I’ll say. Cube is the man. We back him. And I love the fact that he’s out there and it’s getting the response that it’s getting, that’s what I’ll say.”
…uh huh. As far as the film’s progress he at least had a few more sentences.
“It’s still very early in that [process]. We’re still working on (director) F. Gary Gray’s cut. … I’m excited about that movie. That movie is going to…deliver. It’s going to deliver for fans of N.W.A., which are always the hardest, when you look at the core fans its always the hardest to satisfy them, but it’s also just gonna deliver to a broad spectrum of audiences that enjoy a great, American uprising story.”
