Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is considered one of the best in the league at his job. He’s also very fan friendly and decided to answer a few questions from his Twitter account while on a flight. Some of the questions were pretty standard but Morey’s answer to one question created quite the firestorm on Twitter.
Someone asked Morey if he ever gets tired of watching basketball because of his job to which Morey responded no, it’s like being a gynecologist, you never get tired of it.
Some people laughed and others were pretty upset about his comparison. He probably was just making a joke but some people didn’t find it funny. For those unaware, a gynecologist deals with the health of the female reproductive systems (vagina, uterus and ovaries) and the breasts. Some men joke about being a gynecologist and getting intimate access to women but it’s really the least sexual job and any gyno who thinks otherwise has some lawsuits coming his way.
Anyway the outspoke GM still hasn’t deleted the tweet (in gallery above) so he probably doesn’t care about the backlash. Houston Rockets PR probably does care though, they usually have their hands full with him.
