Since Marshawn Lynch was fined $100,000 for refusing to speak to the media, he’s found new and creative ways to answer them without really answering them. Lynch has done entire interviews saying one word such as “yes”, “no” or “maybe” in November. In December he used “thank you for asking” and now for January he’s using “I’m thankful”.
After the Seahawks beat the Panthers Saturday night, Lynch at first seemed surprised that reporters were even trying to ask him questions. He started off by saying “yall gone try again huh? That’s what we gonna do? We gonna try one more time?” Apparently he thought his prior antics would ward off the reporters permanently. Unfortunately for him that wasn’t the case. He then got really quiet, rubbing his eyes and thinking before resorting to answering every question with “I’m thankful” while O.T. Genasis blared in the background.
Fans have had mixed reviews to Marshawn’s media antics. Some praise him for standing his ground, some find him amusing and entertaining and some are ticked off that he won’t seriously answer the questions.
