Cop Turns Himself In For Attacking MTA Worker. The NYPD needed the public’s help to identify a man last week who attacked an MTA worker. The MTA worker was informing passengers about service changes when she was approached by a man who grew frustrated and took out his anger on her. Watch a video of him after the jump!
He grabbed her in bear hug form from the back and pushed her to the floor, then began to choke her. She suffered head, neck and back injuries as a result of the incident. The man turned out to be an off-duty officer who claims that the MTA worker cursed at him and grabbed his phone to prevent him from taking picture of her. The funniest part of this whole incident was that the man did not come up and identify himself to the NYPD until he was shown video footage of himself. He must have been like “Hey, that guy that you guys are looking for looks strikingly similar to me.. hmmm, same shirt, same height oh what do you know, it is me!”. All jokes aside, I do hope that the MTA worker gets some sort of justice for the injuries she suffered because if this was a regular citizen who attacked an MTA worker, they’d receive some sort of punishment.
