RZA Speaks A Misguided America Is Not Just A Black Thing, commenting on the ongoing protests going on across the country and the ego, “spirits and energies” that got us here.
As the Wu-Tang Clan continues commentary on the current state of society beyond their latest “A Better Tomorrow” video, the one Abbott RZA Speaks A Misguided America Is Not Just A Black Thing. This comes after an interview earlier this month laying out in detail why he thinks “The Value of A Man’s Life Has Been Totally Reduced.”
“These spirits and energies are what’s misguided in us. What’s good is it’s being revealed and it’s being revealed that it’s not just a black thing but it’s an American thing.”
Speaking specifically on the Eric Garner and Ferguson aftermath he comments on the protests that have been peacefully organized and executed in the past months, a growth from the destructive riots that left a lot of Ferguson in ashes.
“Right now, the same amount of time it takes for people to hate, you see all these people marching, they’re not throwing bricks and they’re not doing it the way they did it in Ferguson. They didn’t have to do it that way.”
While indeed bad spirits and energies have played a large part in the fuel that’s got us here, RZA Speaks A Misguided America Is Not Just A Black Thing and says the fire is definitely continuing. Speaking on the protestors he concluded:
“If you look at fire, fire itself is a spirit. Anytime you light a fire, it’s going to burn every time. So the spirit of evil or the spirit of evil, when it enters your body, it’s fire entering you. It’s always going to cause trouble. It’s still fire though. It’s still fire but now it’s like they’re cooking with it instead of burning with it.”
