Rosemary Nietes, who was raised in Ferguson the hot bed where black teen Michael Brown was gunned down by police officer Darren Wilson last summer told the newspaper that she found a handwritten note on the windshield of her vehicle on December 23. It read, “Christmas is pure bred white ni***r sh*t.”
“It scared me quite a bit. It made me shake all the way to work. This is Dogtown neighborhood, I’ve lived here 22 years and never had such things happen,” said Nietes, who admitted that the unsettling note unnerved her to the core. “With everything that’s going on, it made me pretty nervous,” “I just have to understand that it’s not personal. I think it’s very random.”

Feeling very shaken by the message and convincing herself that she could be the singled out target of someone’s hate, Nietes contacted the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The police helped her out by letting her know that she actually was not being singled out because there were other similar reports.
Brian Villa also received a similar note on his car days before Nietes did,. Brian Villa’s note read, “Christmas is white ni***r sh*t.”
