Hack Revealed, Wow!!! On Chrismas Day, a day where many consoles were dropped off by Santa, a day where boredom from family gatherings could have only been cured by some some good old MDK from 1 of many MDK games was in complete denial….Denial of Service that is, as a hacking group known as ‘Lizard Squad’ decided to pull of a DDoS attack on PSN and Xbox live on Christmas Day!

Hack Revealed;
To be clear, this was NOT apart of the hacking situation Sony went through over “The Interview”, although most people thought is was directly related because Sony let the movie go on diff outlets the day before. This wasn’t exactly a hacking, this was a DDoS, which stands for Denial of Service, which if you’r not familiar means they set up some computers to to hit the IP address thousands of times per minute, which is like thousands of people going to the home url all at once every second, which fills up the server with so many requests, it never has time to fulfill the request, so it never loads, and shows it being down. The group never actually got inside the servers, but did have to bypass the firewalls and security that stops this type of attack, which def does show skill, Sony had a brand new security system(because of the recent previous hack), and apparently the Lizard squad says that took a minute, BUT they say Microsoft’s security was a joke and Xbox live was ‘rather easy’.
When asked in an exclusive interview from WinBeta why they did it….the answer was;
‘to show network vulnerability for gamers, and to get a few laughs’.
So basically my 11yr old(almost 12) could do what he does because they wanted to get a few laughs….damn B. All due respect Lizard squad(and I don’t want any trouble), but that’s not exactly cool, I get you guys have skills, but you upset the natural balance of things. I will say the systems DO need to upgrade their security….Please Hire the Lizard Squad so this will NOT happen again more importantly so they are affected more permanently!!!! Hack Revealed!!!
