The deaths of officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, by the hands of Ismaaiyl Brinsley has caused a major stir. The politics are at an all-time high and everyone from the citizens, to the police, The Game and now, Russell Simmons have spoken out against its officials.
Simmons, who has been an active representative among the #ICantBreathe movement, felt the need to post an aggressive tweet on the New York Post and police union’s “propaganda.” In other words, they are all working together.

While he said, f**K both the police union and the popular newspaper, Simmons deleted the angrier tweets for something more softer; sending his condolences to the families of both fallen officers.

Monday, Dec. 22, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio held a press conference about the execution of both officers. After receiving backlash from the NYPD and NYPD Police Benevolent Association President Pat Lynch, who claimed that de Blasio has “blood on his hands,” the mayor requested that everyone settle down on the protesting to focus on the families of officers Ramos and Liu. This will not die down anytime soon.
