If his “I like game-winners too. I would love to shoot some,” comments weren’t enough maybe this will convince you that Jeremy Lin is FED UP with Kobe Bryant. Lin is always all smiles and maintains that he loves playing with Kobe but clearly he’s unhappy with the way they play.
Following the Los Angeles Lakers 108-101 loss to the Sacramento Kings, Jeremy Lin had this to say via Lakers Nation reporter, Serena Winters:
“Look at San Antonio and what they’re able to do with who they have at their stages in their career. It’s a lot predicated on a lot of reads, a lot of motion a lot of smart basketball.”
Lin said the Lakers win over San Antonio was the “purest basketball [they’ve] played.” Kept referencing “unselfishness.”
The Lakers beat the Spurs 112-110.
“We saw what we’re capable of in that San Antonio game. [That] should be our blueprint. Unselfishness is contagious, playing for each other. When we want everybody to succeed it’s awesome. When everybody’s touching it, feeling it & is moving & everyone’s scoring, that’s contagious.”
Referencing San Antonio’s age and unselfishness it sure sounds like he’s talking about Kobe Bryant to me (although some fans are still in denial). Bryant shot 8-30 from the field during the Lakers loss to the Kings. His 30 shot attempts were more than twice that of anyone else on the team. Nick Young was the second highest with 14 attempts.
The Lakers are currently 8-19 with the 13th spot in the Western Conference.
