Kim Kardashian received a great deal of backlash from her followers Monday morning (Dec. 15) after posting a selfie with daughter North clearly cropped out of it.
Later that evening, the reality star took to social media to address the “news” and explain why North was cropped out of the picture.
Kim Kardashian woke up to some pretty nasty comments over her cropped selfie of North West. She was called everything thing from being a bad mother, being a narcissist, being selfish, among other things.
In case you missed it: Kim took North and her niece, Penelope, to Disney On Ice over the weekend for her nephew Mason’s fifth birthday. Joined by her friends and their children, including BFF Ciara and her son, Future, they took pictures to document the occasion.
Kim was feeling her look so much in one picture; she cropped out North (you can still see the corner of her face), posting the picture on her Instagram.
After a day of hatful comments, the social media queen took to Twitter to set the record straight on the photo.
“Wait is this really news that I posted a selfie & cropped my daughter out?” she writes. “Her eyes were closed and I was feeling my look! Can I live?!?!”
She wasn’t met with all criticism. Some followers came to the stars defense, saying that cropping North out of the picture doesn’t make her a bad Mom, and possibly North was decent for the picture.
Does any mother actually share bad pictures of their children? Maybe, maybe not. North is too adorable, so I’m sure it wasn’t that bad of a pic Kim.
