Like many other boxers, Amir Khan has been vying for a fight with undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather. Khan says Mayweather had agreed to fight him and the fans even picked that bout over Marcos Maidana in a poll but in a shock to Khan and everyone else, Mayweather decided to fight Maidana instead. Following that win, he and Maidana had a rematch and Khan was left out in the cold once again. That didn’t stop Khan from lobbying for the fight and on Saturday night he took another step closer to getting one.
Last night after Khan’s unanimous decision win over Devon Alexander he called out Mayweather once again.

Khan’s victory was dominant; showing spectacular speed, foot work, combinations and technical ability. Some may say that Alexander is no comparison to Mayweather and of course that’s true but Khan has shown vast improvements and appears ready for a bigger fight.
Floyd Mayweather finally gave everyone what they wanted (sort’ve). After tons of baiting from Manny Pacquiao he finally answered saying, “Let’s make the fight happen for the people and the fans. Mayweather versus Pacquiao, May 2nd, Cinco de Mayweather.” But not so fast… it doesn’t mean the fight will happen. The 60/40 split is the least of their problems. There’s several other details that have to be worked out and agreed upon and Mayweather absolutely despises Bob Arum. After all these years there’s always SOMETHING that stops the fight from happening so I’m not ready to get my hopes up quite yet until they have a full agreement.
As for Khan, Mayweather has said that he could fight him next, and after Khan’s dominant victory Floyd may feel he’s more worthy of a match now.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see but we already know what the people want.
