Many, many things went wrong for the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night during their game against the Chicago Bulls. The Nets suffered a 25-point loss as the Bulls won 105-80 but Cory Jefferson took the cake for the worst shot of the night with this magnificent airball.
Brooklyn Nets rookie Cory Jefferson has attempted five 3-pointers in his career, and he’s missed all five. It happens; from college to the NBA takes some time to adjust especially with the difference in distances but the three he attempted Wednesday night was wayyyy off. Jefferson was shooting a wide-open 24-foot shot and it went about 19 feet.
Some people tried to give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe he decided to make a pass at the last second but there was NO ONE in the vicinity of where the ball landed. The only possible Net in his range of vision would have been Jarrett Jack, the man who passed the ball to the rookie, who wasn’t exactly hanging out underneath the rim, ready for an assist.
I’m sure Jefferson will get better though, he did hit 41 percent of his three-pointers in college.
The Nets are currently 8-12 with a three-game losing streak.
