The Barclays Center was as star studded as it’ll ever be as not only were Jay Z and Beyonce there to watch King James take on the Brooklyn Nets, but actual royalty was there too. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sat court side to take in what was the hottest ticket of the night. The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Brooklyn Nets 110-88 and following the game, the royal family got to meet the man referred to as the King.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate were greeted by American royalty, Jay Z and Beyonce. The two couples looked very happy to meet each other as they exchanged smiles, handshakes and conversation.
After the game the Duke and Duchess met with LeBron James who gifted them with a small custom jersey for their son George. James took to his Instagram account to express his excitement and how grateful he was to meet the royal family and all the things the game of basketball has brought him.
LeBron James finished with 18 points, four rebounds and seven assists in the team’s win. The Cavaliers are now 12-7 with the 4th spot in the Eastern Conference.
