Jermain Taylor appeared in court this afternoon in Little Rock, Arkansas in the case of the murder of his cousin, Tyrone Hinton. Taylor is charged with 1st degree battery and terroristic threatening for allegedly shooting Hinton inside Taylor’s home on August 26. Taylor refuses to give up as he claims he is innocent and pleaded not guilty! Another trial date has been set, and if convicted, Taylor could face 26 years in prison. More details after the jump…

Professional boxer Jermain Taylor pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from an August shooting.
Taylor is charged with 1st degree battery and terroristic threatening for allegedly shooting his cousin, Tyrone Hinton, inside Taylor’s Maumelle home on August 26.
A judge set a trial date for June 23 and is continuing to allow Taylor to leave the state for training as long as he agrees to waive extradition back to Arkansas, if necessary.
If convicted, Taylor could face up to 26 years in prison.
