Quarterback Brian Hoyer helped lift the lowly Cleveland Browns into playoff contenders and yet everyone is still focused on Johnny Manziel getting into the game.  Brian Hoyer expected to leave as he will become a free agent at the end of the season.  I don’t blame him.

Brian Hoyer has what can only be described as the most thankless job in the NFL at the moment. Despite leading the hapless Browns into playoff contention, the Browns are looking to replace him with Johnny Mazniel at the first chance he gets.

According to Adam Schefter, unless by some miracle the Browns make the postseason — which is still possible — the Browns will be losing the young QB as Brian Hoyer expected to leave in free agency.

You can’t blame Hoyer for wanting to bolt out of Cleveland, as there is no guarantee that they’ll re-sign him. It’s the reason the Browns are who they are, as the team has a winning quarterback they’re ready to get rid of in favor of an unproven rookie who may not even be cut out for the NFL.

Hoyer will be a huge name on the market this offseason, with Houston and Arizona being big targets.  Hopefully he’ll be more appreciated elsewhere.
