$90K Picasso gets lifted in heist at Miami Art Basel? According to reports, a famed piece of Picasso artwork was stolen in the wee hours of the early morning on Friday. The artwork was a silver plate created by the renown artist, known as the “Visage aux Mains”, No. 16 in a series of 20 and is valued at around $85,000.

The Picasso was last seen at 10.30pm by a security guard on patrol, but when Smith arrived the next day, Friday, at 10.45am, the artwork was gone.Oddly, a Picasso ceramic right next to the spot the stolen plate was hanging is worth around $365,000.
Smith has reported the theft to the Art Loss Register, an international database of stolen and missing works of art. He added to the Herald, “If you steal art, if it’s from a famous artist, it’s going to be hard to re-sell.”
All that art and the 90K silver plate was the only thing taken?? Yeah….something seems off. Developing….
