IFWT_Kemba block

On Friday night the (4-15) Charlotte Hornets took on the (4-16) New York Knicks and it had all the makings of a snooze fest but Kemba Walker had other ideas in mind.  First there was this block… Jose Calderon took his time and spotted up just beyond the arc for a wide-open shot.  Or so he thought.  Kemba Walker flew in from behind and swatted Calderon’s shot to the other side of the court before the ball was even able to leave Jose’s hands.  Oh but he wasn’t done there…

The Hornets led by as many as 21 points before the Knicks came all the way back with the help of two three-pointers from Carmelo Anthony including one with 40 seconds left that gave the Knicks a one-point lead.

All New York had to do was get one stop to seal the victory but nope this is the Knicks we’re talking about so of course that didn’t happen.

With the clock winding down, Walker blew by his defender on the perimeter, and with no help defense anywhere in sight, he was able to get all the way to the basket to convert the game-winning shot just before time had expired.

The 103-102 victory snapped the Hornets’ 10-game losing streak, and the Knicks fell to 4-17 on the season with a seven-game losing streak.
