Boston Celtics point guard, Rajon Rondo, met up with LA Lakers, Kobe Bryant, this morning to grab some breakfast. Might I add, those pancakes and bacon looked delightful LOL! The breakfast definitely sparked attention and rumors from all over, especially right after Sports Illustrated revealed Lakers’ interest in Rondo upon becoming a free agent after this season. Was it business related or just two old pals linking up before Friday night’s game?! Photos and more juice on this story after the jump…

Before it’s time for basketball, it’s time for bacon for two of the biggest stars in the NBA.
Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo was spotted having breakfast with Kobe Bryant in Boston on Thursday morning. After losing to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday to fall to 5-14 on the year, the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Celtics Friday night at the TD Garden.
Naturally, the site of the two of them grabbing some food together sparked some trade rumors. SI.com’s Chris Mannix reported back in November that the Lakers were planning on making a push to bring Rondo to Los Angeles when he becomes an unrestricted free agent after the season.
While a backcourt featuring Rondo and Bryant is an intriguing dream for Lakers fans, it’s pretty likely this was just two ultra-competitive dudes getting some grub and venting about their losing records this season. Or maybe they just spent the whole time exchanging compliments by calling each other names.
