Kemba Walker had the crossover of the season on Wednesday night during the Charlotte Hornets game against the Chicago Bulls. Matched up with Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic on a switch, the Hornets guard hit the big man with two quick crossovers and a nasty behind-the-back dribble then watched him fall to the floor. He then paused to survey the damage he’d done, and calmly hit a 3-pointer. Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan’s reaction is pretty priceless.
Jordan had a “well damn” look on his face then let out a chuckle at the work of his young guard.
Chicago led 45-40 at halftime before both teams exploded for at least 27 points in the third quarter. While the Bulls won 102-95, Walker finished with 23 points, five rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes.
The Hornets were expected to be a much better team this year with the added help of Lance Stephenson but so far they’re 4-15 with the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference. Stephenson put up 20 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the loss to the Chicago Bulls but for the most part has struggled with his new team. The Hornets are said to be in aggressive trade talks with everybody available except for Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson.
