The Los Angeles Lakers had cause to celebrate on Sunday night as they beat the Toronto Raptors 129-122 in overtime. Still the dynamic between Kobe Bryant and Nick Young is a hilarious one. Kobe is known for not passing the ball and Nick is known for taking ridiculous, YOLO type shots. Last night however, Kobe Bryant set an NBA record becoming the first and only NBA player to score 30,000+ points and 6,000+ assists. That’s right, that means Kobe does pass the ball, well occasionally. During Nick Young’s post game interview he made it clear that Kobe needs to pass some more, of course in his joking manner.
Much of the interview was about Young’s off-the-court partner, rapper Iggy Azalea. He spoke about them meeting as well as meeting each others parents for the first time. He also spoke about Kobe’s reaction to his new record. Towards the end he was asked about the assist Kobe made to him late in the fourth quarter in which Young hit a 3-point jumper.
Young says he had to tell him “Batman needs Robin”. He said “I don’t wanna have to cuss you out Kobe but imma have to” and then Kobe passed him the ball. He then told reporters to tell Kobe to make sure to pass him the ball.
